costume?

The clothes you wear are important.

Just like how you can't wear a party dress to a funeral, you cant wear "happy go-go" vibe clothes in a horror film.

At first, we weren't planning on focusing too much on the dress code but somehow we ended up doing it anyway. Neither of us could really visit Fahad, so I was constantly in contact with him on socials.

The criteria I gave him was,

1. Casual but formal. Something you would wear to school.

2. Dark in colour, but not black.

After rejecting many clothes, we ended up with dark Blue jeans and a dark blue hoodie.

The reason I suggested we don't use black was that even though it represents fear, it also represents power and strength. The latter is more well known and emphasized, and it is a literal contradiction of what we are trying to show.

We could have used pink whose negative representation is weakness but it was going against our "cold and dark" hues of horror.

In the end the reason I decided with dark blue was because it is linked with night, and our opening does play out at night.
